Abingdon « King Dick » (GB)

Le surnom de King Dick est en réalité le nom de la mascotte de la firme, un petit bull terrier dont la statue trôna dans le bureau du directeur pendant presque 60 ans.

Fabricant d’outils à Birmingham sous le nom de ‘King Dick’ depuis 1856, la firme Abingdon Engineering Co commença la manufacture de motos en 1903, utilisant des moteurs d’autres marques telles que Kerry, Minerva ou MCC. Ils développèrent rapidement leurs propres moteurs de 350cc mono ou 500cc et 798cc v-
twin.

La production cessa définitivement en 1933.
