Calot et turban drap garance, bandeau et passepoils en cordonnet bleu foncé. Bandeau pourvu de la grenade enflammée à 7 flammes découpée en drap écarlate cousue sur un écusson rectangulaire en drap du fond. Sur les côtés ventouses d’aération en cuivre tombac peintes en rouge.

Jugulaire à double coulisse en cuir noirci, maintenue par deux boutons en cuivre tombac timbrés de l’inscription « LÉGION ÉTRANGÈRE » autour d’un disque lisse.

Au fond du calot en basane noire, au dos de la pastille marque des experts de contrôle, sous cette dernière « 1er Rt Eer », dans un cartouche, pour 1er régiment étranger.

Bandeau de sudation en basane, réduite comme de règle pour l’infanterie.
