Elle représente la légende de Goban Tadanobu.

Des samouraïs sont en train de lutter sous les pins près d’une maison. On distingue un mon de type Sasa Rindo (fleur de gentiane), sur un jinmaku. Il s’agit du mon (armoirie) du clan Minamoto (Seiwa Genji), dont le héros représenté était un fidèle vassal de Minamoto no Yoshitsune.

La légende raconte que surpris par des ennemis et ne pouvant accéder à ses armes, il prit un goban (base en bois pour le jeu de go) pour combattre ses adversaires qu’il réussit à mettre en fuite
